Sizing & Care
What size should I order?
We do our best to make sure that each piece is sized according to the national average. Of course we realize every child is different and therefore we encourage you to read the sizing information on the product listing.
We recommend you order the closest size to your child's age, however, if you are unsure of what size is best for your child, we are more than happy to make recommendation. Email us at hello@daughterco.com

How do I care for my garment?
To keep your Daughter keepsakes looking their best, we recommend only gentle washing in eco-friendly detergent, cold water and never tumble drying. Our pieces involve delicate cotton, linen and natural fabrics which can pull very easily. Please be gentle.
Due to the nature of linen and natural fibre fabric, some shrinking is expected after the first wash.
Returns
Can I return or exchange an item?
Daughter accepts the return of unworn, unused, unwashed items in their original condition within 7 days of purchase, for exchange or credit note. We do not offer a refund for change of mind. We recommend returning the parcel using a registered postal service as Daughter cannot be held liable for return parcels that are lost. Customers must take care of shipping and any duty costs if they are applied. Due to hygiene reasons, we cannot accept exchange or returns on swimwear items so please choose carefully.
How do I return an item?
To lodge a return, please email us at hello@daughterco.com. You must lodge your return within 14 days from delivery. This will involve entering your order details, selecting the items you wish to return and packaging your items. For information on returns, head to our Returns and Exchanges page.
We cannot accept exchange or returns on swimwear items so please choose carefully. All international sales are considered final and are not able to be exchanged or returned.
What is your order cancellation policy?
Once an order is placed we do not accept cancellations by request of the customer.Final acceptance of the order is given by Daughter and we reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order. If you have an issue with an item or wish to discuss this policy please contact us at hello@daughterco.com
My item is faulty, what can I do?
Any faults must be reported within 5 days of item receipt to be eligible for return or refund. We will not under any circumstances accept returns on items after this period of time has passed. We reserve the right to offer a repair of the fault. A refund will only be issued if the garment is faulty beyond repair or if an alternate size in the same style is unavailable for exchange. We reserve the right to deny returns if the merchandise returned does not meet our return policy requirements. Daughter is not responsible for missing packages and thus we advise the use of a registered postal service.
Shipping, Returns & Exchanges
We use all major carriers, and local courier partners. You’ll be asked to select a delivery method during checkout.
What is the shipping policy?
Once your order is placed, you will receive a confirmation email letting you know that our fulfillment team has received your order. Once your order is fulfilled, you will receive an email notification with your tracking information. Shipping fees are non-refundable in the case of returns.
Do you ship overseas?
Yes, we ship all over the world. Shipping costs will apply, and will be added at checkout.

What do I do if my order was sent back?
In the event that your package is returned to Daughter for any reason such as incorrect address, non payment of duties or non collection an admin fee of $25AUD will be charged to the customer as well as any return mail fees incurred. A refund or redelivery will be arranged based on individual circumstance. If a refund is provided the amount refunded will be less the original postage charge and admin fee. If the customer requests a redelivery a new shipping charge will apply. Daughter reserves the right to refuse redelivery based on probability of arrival in certain circumstances.
Our Practices
Are the Daughter ranges hand made?
Every item made is slowly created by hand by our manufacturing team. To us, ethical production also means understanding, compassion and patience. Balinese and broader Indonesian tradition, ceremony and culture is embraced and nurtured in our workplace.
Are the Daughter ranges sustainable?
Our fabric in Bali is sourced from local fabric houses and is always 100% cotton or linen content and our Indian garments are organic and Oeko-Tex certified.
We pride ourselves on our slow approach to fashion. We encourage our customers to make mindful purchases and hand down garments to siblings and friends once they have been outgrown.
What is your packaging made of?
Our garments are packaged in biodegradable cornstarch garment bags and all of our tape and boxes are recycled and eco friendly. Our garment tags are made from natural materials also.
Payment
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept the following credit cards: MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover. We only take payment once your order has been shipped. We also accept payment by PayPal or Amazon Pay. If you decide to use either of these two methods, you’ll be taken to either the PayPal or Amazon Pay website, where you’ll be prompted to log in and process your payment. You’ll then be directed back to our merchant website once your transaction is complete.
Do the prices include tax?
All prices are displayed with tax and GST included. Daughter does not accept any responsibility for any duty, tax or other import costs on international orders.
It is a legal requirement for Daughter to declare the correct value of orders on customs forms for international shipments. We will not, under any circumstances, falsify any information and we reserve the right to refuse and/or cancel any orders that may request this of us.
